Nicole Edenfield

Clinical Director

Nicole graduated as a dental assistant in 2016 at the top of her class. She then started her dental journey here, at Swansea Dental Care. She has a strong passion for all things dentistry and teaching upcoming dental professionals.

She is a Swansea resident, who enjoys getting to know all of our patients! In her free time she enjoys playing Fortnite with her husband and four boys, as well as hanging out with her two cats and two pigs.

Laken

Chairside assistant

Laken is a 2023 dental assisting graduate of Carolina Career School. She has always desired to be in healthcare and has found her home in dentistry. She has a great passion for patient care and education.

Laken is a resident of the greater Lexington area. She loves her children and houseplants as well as learning new languages, anything MARVEL and throwback music/movies.

Nancy

Dental Hygienist

Nancy graduated as a hygienist in 1998 and joined our office in 2020. She loves getting to know everyone she meets and helping patients learn about oral hygiene. Nancy will do everything she can to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Nancy grew up in New Orleans and loves to travel and sit by the pool with her long-time best friend. She has two fur babies and resides in the greater Columbia area.

Vatsal Suthar

Dr. Vatsal Suthar is a native of Cayce, SC and attended Airport High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a degree in Exercise Science and minor in Business. He worked for two years as an exercise physiologist before moving to Charleston, SC and earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2012 at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Suthar was chosen to attend and train at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC for an additional year upon graduation. He has completed additional continuing education to achieve Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry; a feat less than 5% of all dentists have accomplished. Dr. Suthar is also a volunteer at the Richland County Children’s Dental Clinic.

Dr. Suthar currently resides in West Columbia with his wife, Meera, and three children. In his free time, he enjoys photography, reading, and following all USC sports teams.
